2024 Olympic Games: all disciplines!

Badminton was present for the first time as an official sport at the Summer Olympic Games in Barcelona. Four events were organized there: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles and women's doubles. Four medals were awarded in each event, including two bronze medals (one per semi-finalist). At the next Olympics, Atlanta 1996, the addition of mixed doubles brought the number of events to five and a third-place match was also added between the two losing semi-finalists to determine a single bronze medalist. This format has been retained since.
